Markdown to Excel Converter

Excel has no Markdown parser, so pasting a pipe table drops each whole row into a single cell and leaves you running Text to Columns. Paste the table here and press Copy for Excel: the clipboard carries tab-separated values plus an HTML table, so every value lands in its own cell on a normal Ctrl+V. Values like $1,240, 12%, and accounting negatives such as (1,200) are recognised and pasted as real numbers, so SUM and charts work without a cleanup pass — no more left-aligned cells with green triangles. You can also download a genuine .xlsx workbook, assembled in your browser, with the header row bold and frozen and columns auto-sized, or plain RFC 4180 CSV for importers. The inverse of the Excel to Markdown tool.

Excel has no Markdown parser, so a pasted pipe table drops each whole row into a single cell. Press Copy for Excel and paste with Ctrl+V — every value lands in its own cell with no Text to Columns step, and figures like $1,240 and 12% arrive as real numbers you can sum. Or download a genuine .xlsx workbook with the header row bold and frozen.

Paste a Markdown table and the grid you will paste into Excel appears here. Right-aligned values are the ones Excel will treat as numbers.
